The Premise of the Contest:
Everyone loves a good romantic comedy, 80's movie, or just a good old classic. This competition is for Twilight fanfiction writers who love both. Take a movie, Weird Science for example, and turn it into a fanfiction with your favorite Twilight characters.
Example: Bella and Alice are kind of geeky. Everyone in school picks on them. They dress weird, they say stupid things, are smart as hell, and they're socially challenged. They've been in love with Edward and Jasper forever, but neither guy notices them. One night, they decide they're tired of it, decide to emulate their favorite 80's movie and make their own man. So they create the perfect man (We'll call him Paul for the example)... Putting jockstraps on their heads and using their computers, they formulate what they both want in a guy... Low and behold, there's a thunderstorm, it fritzes their computers and Bob's your uncle Paul appears.
You get the drift.
It can be any romantic movie, or 80's movie, because lets face it there are plenty to choose from, and put your own spin on it. It doesn't have to follow the plot from the movie just the general idea so we can identify the movie you have chosen.
Rules:
- All stories must be brand new in the sense that they have not been written for any other purpose. Start from scratch and give us something new to read.
- No one shots, please. We are looking for multi-chaptered fics with no less than ten chapters and no more that fifteen. And as much as we love those long fics, please keep the word length to less than 10,000 words per chapter.
- As Twilight characters, and inspiration from other movies will be used, we ask that you don’t write the original movie verbatim only using Twilight names. Use the basis of the movie as a starting point and get creative! As great as Long Duk Dong is in Sixteen Candles, let’s not use every single one of his quotes in a Sixteen Candles/Twilight fic. Get the point? We want original and creative, not reading a script from our favorite movie.

- Here's where it gets fun. With your permission, we will make a hardbound (or paperback) copy of the book, which will be yours to own. Obviously, this will mean giving us somewhere to mail the copy to. If you're not that trusting (We understand) we will have an alternative prize for you that will not require your mailing address.
